We have been working on the site to make it more user-friendly. I hope this is indeed the case - if any one has any suggestions please leave a comment.
And take a look around...

I just received a copy of A Meditation published through Blurb. The quality is of a high standard - by which I mean the print job. I knew it was only a small book, though it seems smaller to handle than I expected. But this is a trial run and I'm still very happy with the result. The pictures and text come up beautifully.
Click on the picture to preview the book and feel free to leave a comment.

I shall be moving this weekend and I am informed that I shall not have the new phone line working beofre 16th of November!! I wish that I'd known it would take this long.
Anyway, the upshot of this is that I may not have a lot of communication at this time.

I have been experimenting with selective focus/blurring.
^ Under the Pier ^ The View from Observatory Hill
The purpose of this is to create a miniaturising effect, making the scenes look more like models - click on the images to see better.
I quite like the effect, though for more complicated scenes it will take a lot more work.

I sent out a new promo to a few people, members and non-members, then realised that a large number of people wouldn't be able to open it,so I sent it again as part of the email message itself. The promo can be viewed HERE.
It occurs to me that quoting "Yippee" and referencing names cannot be done in the application itself - so place these in the forum or blog and that will do fine!

Out taking photographs with my cousin, as we were walking back from the lighthouse and the entrance to Fremantle Harbour, it started to rain. Well it had been raining lightly for a little while but it started to get heavier. I suggested that we get back before it realy comes down. Had we waited five minutes we wouldn't have gotten wet at all so never trust me on precipitation predicition.
But this photo, Coming Home, was a prize from along the way.
You can see my cousin's work here http://www.redbubble.com/people/jonrussell - some wonderful photography!
Under the Pier 2 is a first attempt at selective focussing to create a miniaturising effect - click on the image to get a better view. This was also taken in Fremantle.
One last pic, perhaps sunsets are quite cliched but they are still irresistable:
